Crazy Horse leather is ideal for vintage style leather goods due to its waxed treatment and color tones. However, you should know that it marks and scratches easily, and no two hides are the same. Over time, this feature adds a lot of character to goods made with crazy horse leather. These marks gradually blend into the surface as the leather develops a beautiful patina.

When ordering from our store, please be aware that the color of any item may vary slightly from those displayed in product images. This is the nature of Crazy Horse leather. No two items will ever be identical.
Every hide is different and colors will vary. Each device type (desktop computer, laptop, tablet or phone) will also display colors differently. To ensure your expectations are met when your bag arrives, please note sample variations of colors below.
Brown & Medium Brown
This color can range from a darker tan brown to light brown, occassionally leaning toward a darker mustard brown color
Dark Brown
This color can vary with a mix of dark and medium brown tones, to very dark consistant brown color. In some cases, a little bit of a reddish tone might be noticable.
Reddish Brown
This color can vary from darker reddish leather to medium reddish brown tones.
Vintage Brown
This color can vary with tones leaning toward rich dark brown and red tones, to medium brown with less defined redish tones.

Optionally, we offer DHL/Fedex/UPS Express shipping for deliveries to the USA, Canada and EU countries, with an average 5 - 9 days delivery. If express shipping is not selected, we use regular shipping to all countries with an average 10 - 15 day delivery time.
All orders are processed within 3 - 4 business days
For both regular and express shipping, rural and remote locations may take 3 - 5 days longer.

Shipping times do not include order processing. This usually takes 3 - 4 days depending on time of year e.g. Christmas Season, Easter etc. As soon as your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number by email that you can click on to view the tracking status of your order.
Any item not in stock when your order is placed will be made and shipped within 7 - 10 days. If this is the case, we will contact you and you will have the option to cancel your order and receive a full refund.
ORDER PACKAGING: We ship by compressed bag
Chilco Leather ships all large items like backpacks, briefcases, and duffle bags by compressed bag. This may require that we fold items to reduce package size. This does not harm the leather or canvas and your bag should regain full shape in a few weeks of use and creases (if present) will disappear very quickly.
Smaller items like wallets, sling bags, toiletry bags etc are also shipped by bag. Small items ordered with larger items will be shipped in the same bag.
Returns and Exchanges
- If your order arrives damaged or contains a defect (not typical), we will exchange your purchase in the first 90 days - view details
- If you place an order and change your mind, contact us within 12 hours and we will update or refund your order - no questions asked. Once your order is picked up and in transit for delivery, we cannot cancel or refund your order. With many orders we are able to ship within 24 hours so if you change your mind - Contact us immediately.
